ein teina
On the sloping hills of the Golan Heights, in the midst of the grazing sheep, there is a special vineyard growing from the natural resources of the land with a small winery located close by.
The family has been engaged since 1975 in raising sheep and the production of olive oil and baking unique breads. The idea of establishing a winery came while wandering the lush raspberry thickets and collecting the sheep at sunset, while inspiration for the winery itself came from the family’s travels around the world.
Ein Teina was founded by Yotam ben Zvi, who had experimented for several seasons with vintages from the well-established nearby Golan Heights Winery, and developed familiarity with dozens of plots of land in the Golan and upper Galilee. He also developed processing techniques, became adept at changing conditions, and gained experience and insights in how to produce high-quality wine.
In 2004 the first small harvest consisted of 900 bottles. Already by 2009 the harvest produced 4000 bottles. Today, Ein Teina continues to grow in its capacity to produce exceptional wines. Whether by visiting the winery itself or by tasting their sumptuous wines, Yotam, Noa, Talia, Abigail, and Amit all invite you to enjoy the beauty of their land, their winery, and their story, as encapsulated within every bottle of Ein Teina wine.
